YouTube API usage & Creator Genome
Reviewer-facing description of what AGEIS reads, calculates, stores and executes through YouTube-connected creator features.
Canonical reviewed API Client
Canonical production origin: https://ageis.io. Google Cloud API Project Number: 1021546834839. AGEIS uses exactly one Google Cloud API Project for this YouTube API Client. The earlier the-brain-ageis.vercel.app address referenced in review correspondence is a retired hosting origin; production is now hosted on Cloudflare under ageis.io. The API Client and Google Cloud project are unchanged; only the hosting/canonical web origin changed.
Independent value
AGEIS does not recreate YouTube. It adds a governed creator-business layer: bounded research, evidence-strength recommendations, content-production workflows, account-specific diagnostics, outcome verification and learning. Live YouTube publishing remains disabled in the current customer product.
Public intelligence lane
In the current STANDARD mode, public YouTube Data API fields are used only for bounded source observations and API-path validation such as channel/video snapshots, uploads-playlist membership and raw public statistics. Approval-gated cross-channel derived analytics over non-authorized YouTube API Data are not computed in this mode.
Owner-authorized lane
When a creator connects their account, AGEIS can use only the scopes they grant for account-specific capabilities. Owner-authorized private analytics remain tenant-scoped and are not silently exposed as another creator's benchmark.
The standard connection requests youtube.readonly. The optional owner-analytics flow separately adds yt-analytics.readonly. The active customer connection does not request youtube.upload while live publishing is disabled.
Derived metrics request
AGEIS is requesting the Analytics & Reporting amendment that permits limited additional derived metrics and extended storage of eligible public statistical data. Until approved, extended derived-metric/storage privileges remain disabled.
Example derived analytics
Subscriber/view velocity, acceleration, upload-adjusted growth, milestone intervals, format mix, publishing cadence, breakout-change observations and cohort-relative comparisons. These are explicitly labelled as AGEIS calculations, not YouTube-supplied metrics.
No private competitor analytics
AGEIS does not claim access to unrelated creators' private CTR, retention, traffic sources, revenue, demographics or other Studio analytics. Those require owner authorization.
Policy safety controls
AGEIS does not scrape YouTube or Google applications, does not store YouTube audiovisual content for offline use, does not combine Authorized Data across unrelated content owners, and keeps approval-dependent derived metrics disabled unless YouTube explicitly approves that audited use case. Non-Authorized YouTube API Data follows a maximum 30-day store-or-refresh window.
Attribution
YouTube-sourced content is identified as originating from YouTube and applicable YouTube brand/source attribution is preserved on user-facing features that display that content.
User controls and data lifecycle
The client supports scoped OAuth, versioned legal consent, token refresh/revocation, immediate local Authorized-Data purge on disconnect, periodic authorization reconfirmation, account export/deletion controls and audit logging. Public statistical research and non-statistical metadata use separate retention rules. See the Privacy Policy, Terms and Data Rights.
